Effort in Physics

In Physics, more specifically in the branch of Mechanicsas effort is known the force acting on a body to deform it. In this sense, the behavior of matter will vary depending on how this force is applied. Thus, it can cause different deformations in bodies: stretch it (tensile stress), crush it (compression stress), bend it (flexural stress), cut it (shear stress), or twist it (torque stress).
