What is a teacher?

In Latin America, Teachers at all levels of education are called teachers.whether early childhood education, primary education, secondary education or higher education. It may happen that in some specific places teachers are referred to as teacher, full professor, associate professor, interim professor, visiting professor, non-tenured professor, among others.
In northern Europe, professors are those who have a permanent position and do research at the university level, generally these have doctorate degrees.

A teacher, professor or teacher is in charge not only of transmitting a lesson to his students or students, but must also act as a mediator or intermediary between the activities carried out by students to be able to understand and assimilate this new knowledge. As in any profession, teachers have the duty to carry out their work considering all ethical and moral qualities that allow them to work honestly.

- The same happens with the physical conditions and personal appearance. People who decide to choose this profession must have adequate personal hygiene and a good appearance to be able to work in the best possible conditions.
- Another personal quality is responsibility, essential for this type of profession, and it should be required that the students themselves also have it.
- The originality It is also very necessary because new and innovative teaching methods can make students even more interested in learning. The teacher must create and produce new things throughout his or her career and professional life, otherwise he or she would only be a simple repeater of content. The tolerance, justice, patience and firmness They are essential qualities for any teacher or professor, without them countless obstacles occur, not only for the teacher himself but also for the students themselves. That is why each teacher must be fully prepared to practice in a classroom or any teaching environment.
- Cultural qualities. The power of knowledge should not be limited and only focus fully on the area in which it is exercised, but it is also necessary to acquire content in order to possess a cultural balance that places one in the position of an educated person.
Other factors that affect teaching
Like these qualities, there are also direct and indirect factors that positively or negatively affect teachers as well as students, they are:
- You should try to create a group climate between teachers and students and an emotional climate. These requirements can become fundamental to be able to work fully and achieve all the objectives set before starting a class.
