What is a claim?
A claim or claim It is a request, a complaint or a denunciation that is made with emphasis or insistence. The word derives from the verb claimcoming in turn from Latin I will claimwhich translates as “ask again” or “demand again.”
Complaints are part of everyday life. are made with the purpose of solving a problem or demanding a correction always before the responsible entity (for example, before a company that does not provide good service to its customers) or before the relevant authority (for example, the consumer protection office). The person who makes a claim is called claimant.
There are many ways and procedures to make a claim, depending on the context and the available means. There are telephone complaints, email complaints, complaints through a form or complaints made in person.
The right to complain is usually provided for in the law and its defense corresponds to both the claimants themselves and the State. In this way, any organization that systematically accumulates complaints can be sanctioned in defense of public well-being. This is why claims must be recorded in some way, so that there is proof that they were made and were not resolved or attended to.
