What is Legislation?
Legislation is a set of laws that will determine and regulate a matter is also applicable to a region such as an entire country or a municipality, they can even govern behavior within an institution, as an example we can mention that one province may not have the same laws as another, just as it can happen between companies of same or different category.
Laws order the daily lives of citizens, making it clear which actions are right and which others, on the other hand, are incorrect and could be punished with different sanctions. The laws also explain how someone will be punished if necessary, depending on what happened. Legislation is also usually synonymous with the word law or can be used to refer to a legal system.

Why is legislation important?
It is necessary that laws exist, since if we lived in a society without them, and everyone acted as they wanted, the entire society would be a great chaos, and there would be many conflicts over various issues.
There needs to be something that tells us how to act in a certain situation, because as we said before, if everyone reacted according to their own reasoning, we would be in trouble. people would spend their time fighting because they wouldn't know what things are normal which ones are correct or which ones are incorrect.
How does the legislation work?
In each country laws are passed by legislators and must be respected by all citizens without exception to, in this way, contribute to the common good of the region where they are located. There are times when these laws are ignored in some cases and do not receive any sanction. In this case, we can name a person who, to defend himself, carries out an action that ends the life of another person. In this case there is a death carried out intentionally, but it was in defense of one's own life. Obviously, this is just an example and not all countries have laws that protect self-defense.
In each country The largest set of laws that exists is the National Constitution which forms supremacy in laws. It is a book that begins to be written from the formation of the country, as a State, and all the existing laws are written there. Many times, just as everything changes and is updated, it is necessary for the National Constitution to be updated in certain aspects. For example, many countries currently approve homosexual marriage or the possibility for people to choose what sex they want to have on their identity card, an issue that was unthinkable in the last century.
All laws that appear in the constitution are the product of the work of the legislative branch of the nation. Regarding existing laws, there are also people who supervise that these laws are followed. For example, we have the traffic police that not only monitors its traffic, but also everything that has to do with the issue itself, such as what to do in an accident or what fines are applied in each case. As another example, we can mention the park rangers who take care not only of the environment, but at the same time ensure that people do the same.
