What is vocation?
The vocation is the desire and inclination on the part of people to a certain profession career or action. The concept of vocation has its origins in Latin «vocation» and religious people understand it as God's call to carry out some task or simply to preach his word. That is why this term is also used as “call” or “summon.”
Vocation, broadly speaking, is related to the desires and affections that people have with those aspects that inspire each of them. It is assumed that the vocation of each subject Depends on your personal interests, aptitudes and tastes conditioning its future.
A person's vocation is made up of certain aspects that will depend on each person's abilities.
- Personal tastes are those that bring pleasure and a comfortable feeling. Another aspect to discuss when we talk about vocation are the peculiar interests of each person, the topics about which we are most curious or those that draw our attention the most, driving motivation for research or development thereof.
- The vocation of each subject will also be related to the personality and abilities of the person in question. Among the skills we find easy understanding of the subject, ideas and imagination, confidence and autonomy. The subject's personality has to do with his or her behavior in his or her environment and the way he or she interprets and feels different situations.
The vocation is that attraction for what we want to do, our inspiration, our dreams and desires. The vocation is the way in which our values and formation as people come to light and are expressed through the chosen profession. These dreams and desires (different in all people) are related to life, understanding such as a fact that exists, that is real, and above all, very relevant.
Fulfilling the desire that our soul raises to undertake and face this vocation to which we are destined, implies carrying out the realization of the chosen profession, satisfying curiosity and the pleasure that this entails in addition to the pleasure of doing what one loves.
To have a vocation you need three fundamental points: taste, aptitude and dedication. When a certain person presents a strong vocation, he or she investigates the topic, presents different points of view to the pre-existing ones, raises hypotheses, and tries to impose his or her own ideas. He feels that regardless of the unfortunate events that may come his way, he will move forward and do it in his own way and fully. Furthermore, he believes and assures that his vocation is necessary for the lives of other people.
The vocation It is an internal calling which is directly related to the way a person is. It is the way of relating to one's identity and personal desires. When one answers that call to fulfill one's desires, we feel a sense of accomplishment, of fulfilling the task assigned to us in this life and that our effort and dedication is not in vain. Fulfilling the call of vocation makes us feel that life has meaning.
Have a vocation for a certain task It is a constant motivation to do it day by day becoming a passion and a unique purpose in life, receiving a rewarding remuneration for the exercise of said activity.
The internal demand or call that every person receives at some point in their life to fully develop and functionally increase their own abilities is known as human vocation. It not only refers to the professional. Each of us, human beings, has a vocation that is unique and that makes us be ourselves, committing our lives to those of other people, the environment and relevance.
